Sosena Solomon is a rising young Film Maker/ Art Director out of philadelphia, whose latest project is entitled Sole: a sneaker documentary. Sosena, who originally hails from Ethiopia, recently earned a bachelor's degree in Television Production from Temple University. During her college years, she flourished as talented set designer, art director and director/producer through her short film projects Audition and Ten Speed, a documentary on Philadelphia bike culture. In addition, Sosena was heavily involved in the development of the 1st Annual Black Lily Film & Music Festival in 2007, working closely with organizers as part of the Steering Committee. Her other past projects include work for the Philadelphia Independent Film Association, as well as PBS Affiliate WHYY's Mother Dot Project. Other notable work includes assisting production on shows such as Evening Exchange with Kojo Nnamdi at Howard University's WHUT, and for other award-winning documentaries. |
